The day that years of hard work has been leading up to has finally arrived with Southampton Institute examination results due to come out today at 12 noon.
Final-year, postgraduate and continuing students will be crowding the corridors of the Institute to find out if their dedication and commitment have reaped a satisfactory reward. It is bound to be a particular anxious day in the lives of the students, who may have had to overcome varying personal challenges during their period of study. For those who are fortunate and who have worked hard, they will be awarded the degree they have dreamed of to launch themselves in their chosen career in the wider world of commerce, business and industry.
Over 9,500 students at various stages of over 100 BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), LLB (Hons), BEng (Hons), Masters and HND courses in the Faculty of Media, Arts and Society, the Faculty of Technology and the Southampton Business School will be discovering their results today. The results will be displayed on notice-boards in the Christopher Cockerell Building from 12 noon, and the area will be busy with students desperate to find out their grades.
For those less impatient to view the results or for those who cannot be at the Institute on the day, the results will be posted to students' homes.
